1. Introduction

Welcome to Online Art Education (“OAE”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

Online Art Education (OAE) was founded as a platform for discipline-specific art education. It is designed to grow slowly and thoughtfully, supporting artists at different stages of practice and across different material and conceptual approaches.

By accessing our website, enrolling in our courses, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.

OAE operates from New Zealand and provides services to a worldwide audience. All prices and transactions are processed in USD.

2. Eligibility

Our programs are intended for individuals aged 18 years or older.

By enrolling, you confirm that:

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Services Provided

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any program at our discretion.

4. Enrolment and Payment

  1. Pricing
    All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.

    We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. However, changes will not affect purchases already completed.

  2. Payment
    Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase unless a payment plan is offered.

    If a payment plan is selected:

    • You agree to complete all scheduled payments.

    • Failure to complete payments may result in suspension of access.

  3. Taxes
    You are responsible for any applicable taxes required in your jurisdiction.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of our programs:

  • Course purchases are generally non-refundable.

  • If a refund policy applies to a specific program, it will be clearly stated on the sales page.

  • Refund requests must be made in writing within the stated timeframe.

We reserve the right to refuse refunds that fall outside the stated policy.

  • Worksheets

  • Curriculum design

are the intellectual property of Online Art Education unless otherwise stated.

You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access materials for your own educational use only.

You may not:

  • Reproduce

  • Share

  • Distribute

  • Resell

  • Record

  • Publicly distribute

  • Create derivative works

without prior written permission.

7. Student Work & Community Participation

  • Student Ownership
    You retain ownership of any artwork, submissions, or intellectual property you create during your participation.

  • License to Display
    By submitting work within the platform or community spaces, you grant OAE a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

    • Display submitted work within the course environment

    • Share testimonials with your consent

    We will not use your work for marketing without explicit permission.

  • Community Conduct
    Participants agree to:

    • Maintain respectful communication

    • Provide constructive feedback

    • Avoid harassment or discrimination

    • Respect the confidentiality of shared work

    We reserve the right to remove participants who violate community standards without refund

8. Access to Courses

Course access duration will be specified at purchase.

We reserve the right to:

  • Update content

  • Modify platform access

  • Remove outdated materials

  • Suspend accounts for policy violations

Access may be revoked if payment obligations are not met.

9. No Guarantees

OAE provides educational services only.

We do not guarantee:

  • Artistic success

  • Financial outcomes

  • Career advancement

  • Exhibition opportunities

  • Specific results

Your progress depends on your individual effort, practice, and circumstances.

10. DisclaimeR

All content is provided for educational purposes only.

We are not liable for:

  • Technical issues outside our control

  • Personal injury during practical art processes

  • Equipment damage

  • Loss of materials

  • Indirect or consequential damages

You are responsible for ensuring safe use of tools, chemicals, or materials in your practice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

OAE’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific course or service.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. International Users

OAE operates from New Zealand and serves a global audience.

By using our services, you agree that New Zealand law governs these Terms and Conditions, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

14. Termination

Termination for policy violation does not entitle you to a refund.
