About Online Art Education

Online Art Education (OAE) was founded as a platform for discipline-specific art education. It is designed to grow slowly and thoughtfully, supporting artists at different stages of practice and across different material and conceptual approaches.

OAE is a platform for artists seeking structured learning, creative support, technical upskilling and professional development across a range of disciplines.

Our programs bring together practical instruction and critical inquiry, offering courses in photography, painting, sculpture, film, and more.

We believe in the importance of process, research, and reflection alongside technical skills.

Kate van der Drift has developed the first program for the Online Art Education platform, called Art Photo School. The APS: Group Work Membership has supported artists in experimental and analogue processes through weekly live group calls and pre-recorded technical tutorials.
